Then I spent about 20 minutes writing, an hour finding songs that would go on the soundtrack if my book were to ever become a movie (not so much egotistical as a fun distraction) and then another 45 minutes downloading cool widgets for my dashboard.

If your book were ever to become a movie, what songs would be on the soundtrack and who would be cast in the leading roles????
Well... only since you asked! Some songs I thought of are: "End of Our Days" by Howie Day, "Songs We Used to Sing" by Edie Brickell, "Bent" by Matt Nathanson, "My Baby Just Cares for me" covered by Cyndi Lauper and "River" by Joni Mitchell.
Other songs that actually are brought up IN the text of my book are: "Escape (the Pina Colada Song)" by Rupert Holmes, "Turn the Beat Around" by Gloria Estefan and "Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding. As far as who might play the parts, I haven't gotten that far in my fantasy yet, which is probably a good thing.
