I love you so much.

Back in November, we were planning an engagement shoot with Diana + Steven. Nathan asked if I had any good ideas for locations, and I mentioned that I'd seen a lovely message written on the side wall at Jo's.
"Well, that's perfect," he said, "Because that was the very first place Diana mentioned!"

So we started at Jo's that day on South Congress.

Last July, that beautiful message was spontaneously written on the wall at Austin favorite, Jo's on South Congress. But, today at 4:00, the wall looked like this:

Why? Because some d-bag vandalized the message. Can you believe that?! It makes me FURIOUS. Our city is so full of compassionate, sensitive people that when something this atrocious happens, I just get so pissed. I say we de-d-bag the city immediately. What do you say?

In the meantime, Jo's has asked its patrons to share any lovely photos they have as a tribute to the wall. You can see them on Jo's FB wall. If you happen to have a photo of the "I love you so much" wall, please consider posting it.

WHAT?!?! I had no idea it was vandalized. It's been too long since I have taken the 40 minute drive to Austin. I think it will be on the agenda for this weekend. I second the de-d-bag motion. We can be an anti-dbag superhero gang.

That's horrible! Asshats. But most cities would have never had a message like that up in the first place, so Austin is still cool. :)

Oh, cousin Jason, you make an excellent point. Let's go with that. :)

Oh, that is too bad. It looked super cool and was such a great message. I hate tagging. Those stupid kids and their paint pens who just scribble on things. We had a boy do it to our front door at the bookstore. Luckily we are open late and were still there. We made him clean it up, right then and there with the stuff we use to clean books. Rotten little punks the lot of them.

Wow, that's really horrible that someone did that! That person's got to be a very, very sad and pathetic individual.

Chelsea-- Good for you, for making that kid clean up his tagging. That's the only way to change the behavior!

Eliza Jane-- Couldn't agree more!

Yvette-- Thanks for your kind words about the photos. I think the clients were really happy with them, which is really the most important thing to me, in the end. :)

So that's what happened!!! I was wondering! Thank you for the full scoop, mama. I knew it couldn't have been the owners, just randomly deciding to cover it.

Also? I love the little story about how it got there, Amy Cook painting it for Liz. :) Sweet.

Tolly-- Yes! Hearing that story made the wall even more special. I feel so sad that it's gone, but since it was a spontaneous message, I don't know how I'd feel if they recreated it again....
