My Top Ten '80s Boy Crushes....

In no particular order...

1. Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly. Really, is there anything cuter than Michael J. Fox hanging onto the back of a truck riding his skateboard in Back to the Future? If that didn't win you over, there's always his famous lipsync rendition of "Johnny Be Good" later on in the movie.

2. Richard Dean Anderson as Macgyver. Yes, he had a mullet. But he could also make a bomb out of a stick of gum and a ballpoint pen.

3. Harrison Ford as Han Solo. There are two kinds of girls, the Luke Skywalker Girls, and the Han Solo Girls. I know what side I'm on.

4. Kirk Cameron in Growing Pains. The curly mop-top. The devilish grin. Who would have thought all that promise would turn out as the lead of the Left Behind movie adaptation?

5. Malcolm-Jamal Warner as Theo Huxtable. You sure were cute while getting into those friendly little misadventures.

6. Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones. I've heard there's some sort-of new Young Indiana Jones. Honestly, why did they even try?

7. Ralph Macchio as "Daniel-son" in the Karate Kid. Even today, people everywhere reinact that odd-looking signature kick in the final scene. And what a final scene it was.

8. Matthew Broderick in Ferris Beuller's Day Out. And even before there was Ferris Beuller, there were WarGames.

9. Harrison Ford as himself.

and finally...

10. Johnny Depp. The number one reason to run home after school and watch 21 Jump Street. I can still hear the theme music.

1. michael...my crush somehow happened with family ties
2. i was too young to appreciate mullets...but we all know i grew to love them
3. i know what side i'm on, too...and it's not the side that is attracted to my sister...ew.
4. i totally wrote a letter to kirk when i was 12 as well as charlie sheen...who is the only one i think i would add to this list...
5. ...maybe charlie could take malcolm jamal warner's place...or maybe that cute guy from the show...it's a different world...who had the funny glasses...i really had a crush on him...
6. i'm really happy that harrison made the list again...it was...afterall...a totally different look...and a totally different crush...
7....i really can't go here...he really bothered me...but pat morita...better know as...mr. miyagi?...now that one should be on the list!
8. i also didn't care for this guy...oddly enough because he dropped the f-bomb too much and apparently that really turned me off in the 80s...but clearly...i'm making up for lost time.
9. harrison ford is what i consider a classic crush...he has truly timeless sex appeal.
10. i never watched 21 jump street...yet all the while my uterus new this teenage hottie was out there...and i didn't discover him until bennie and june...and i've been in love ever since.

nice list...

ahhhh... I just can't get enough of these guys. I had such fun with the top ten red-headed female superheroes that I had to do another fun top ten list. Thanks for the props! To change the subject, hopefully we'll see you in a few weeks. That will be fabulous, just like you are fabulous!

It doesn't matter when you guys come to Austin, as long as you do! I can't wait to see you and catch up. Also...the funny-glasses guy was Dwayne Wayne, but who knows what his real name was..I'd google it, but it's Friday at 4:30, and I'm not motivated enough. I also remember Whitney. I always loved her; she was a total snot, but the funniest one on the show.

Yes! I totally was going to do something about Corey Feldman or Sean Austin (had to be one of the Goonies) even though I actually thought Sean Austin was cuter...and he turned out as a HOBBIT. You might have to fill me in on Simon Le Bon.

I'm a Han Solo girl, too. I used to *love* the scene where him and Princess L kissed for the first time! And I totally forgot about Theo Huxley! Oh, oh, and Uncle Jesse in Full House!
